On the water every week, stopping pollution every day. Puget Soundkeeper’s mission is to protect and enhance the waters of Puget Sound for the health and restoration of our aquatic ecosystems and the communities that depend on them.
Green Seattle Partnership
We think that a great city can balance urban life with nature, and we want Seattle to stay healthy and green for generations to come.
Our parks give us so much, but they need our help too. The Green Seattle Partnership coordinates restoration projects to care for our urban forest and bring people into the parks to build community through hands-on volunteerism. With thousands of volunteers getting involved every year, dedicated staff with City agencies and partners, and professional crews to help out on our toughest sites, we are making great strides, but the work is far from done. Join us!
West Seattle Junction Association
Join the growing number of volunteers who are doing good in the Junction neighborhood. Opportunities range from festival support to Junction ambassadors, to street team, to Junction clean-up. Take the opportunity to help out by walking around picking up debris! Four kits at a time will be handed out to maintain plenty of distance. Interested in helping out? It’s easy! Just schedule the pickup time for your social distance cleanup kit.
Sea Shepherd Conservation Society
Protecting marine wildlife worldwide. The Seattle Chapter Onshore Volunteers participate in outreach activities throughout the Puget Sound area, tabling events, fundraising and drawing attention to the issues that matter most to us, both as residents of the PNW and as members of SSCS. We organize film screenings, attend environmental lectures and do beach cleanups.
Surfrider Foundation
The Surfrider Foundation Seattle Chapter is a grassroots organization made up of local activists with a shared desire to protect the environmental quality of the Puget Sound region and the coast of Washington State. Our efforts include targeted letter writing campaigns, attendance at public hearings, in addition to hands-on beach cleanups and water quality improvement projects. We invite everyone who is passionate about protecting and preserving our state’s waters, ensuring beaches are accessible, protecting our ocean, and keeping plastic from polluting our waterways to join us.
